About New Season of Blacklist 8: The Blacklist’s mixture of twist-filled scripts, fast-paced direction, and brilliant performances has ensured that the show’s still going as strong today as it did when it first hit our screens.
NBC remains extremely proud of it. This is what the network’s co-president of scripted drama Lisa Katz and Tracey Pakosta had to say when it was renewed for season seven: “Congratulations to our amazing producers, cast and crew, all of whom continue to work at the top of their game and make The Blacklist one of NBC’s signature series.”
And it’s good news, folks. The Blacklist has officially been renewed for season eight.
“Congratulations to our incredible cast, producers, and crew, all of whom continue to reach excellence week in and week out,” said Katz and Pakosta.
“We couldn’t be more excited to continue Red and Liz’s story into season eight.”
Chris Parnell, co-president at Sony Pictures Television, praised executive producers Jon Bokenkamp and John Eisendrath for continuing to tell “exciting and imaginative stories” and remaining committed to “unparalleled creativity”.
He added: “Wait until you see what’s in store for season eight.”
Here is everything about the new season of Blacklist 8 release Date, cast, plot, the trailer that you want to know.
New Season of Blacklist 8 Plot
With season seven still ongoing (it’s not long returned after a three-month hiatus), it’s tricky to predict – the show is full of unexpected plot-turns (that sometimes turn out to be white lies), helping it to stay one step ahead of its audience.
But one thing’s for sure, the series’ inner logic will remain consistent in season eight.
“The show has a good history – if you look back – of playing fair with the audience,” Bokenkamp told Parade ahead of the season seven premiere.
“Reddington may tell a truth, it might not be the entire truth, but ultimately, it is the truth. You can go back and look at things like Liz asked him in season one, ‘Are you, my father?’ He said, ‘No.’ Raymond Reddington is her father, but he’s not Raymond Reddington.
“At times, those things look like they conflict or don’t quite add up, but if you go back over the history of the six years, it all does add up and we intend to keep that streak going.”
And we’ll also get more information about Red’s true identity – unless season seven gives us the final answer.
Season six teased us significantly before apparently revealing it. But there’s still plenty of mystery and missing pieces of the puzzle, the solutions to which will be drip-fed to fans until the final season, we’re sure.
According to Bokenkamp, season seven will be: “Continuing to push deeper into the mythology in a way that will bring audiences deeper into the heart of Reddington is and why he came into Liz’s life. The sort of triangle of Katarina, Liz, and Red will shine new light on the mythology of the show.”
This new information will have a significant impact on season eight.
Chatting to Entertainment Weekly about Red and Liz’s relationship, Bokenkamp said: “At times Red and Liz are close, at times they’re emotionally far apart…for the time being, Liz is a step ahead of Red and sort of taking things slowly. She’s not in a rush to confront him because she knows she’s not going to get answers.
“Red feels like he’s answered the Katarina question, and he has nothing more to say about it. In his mind, all this business with Katarina Rostova is in the rearview mirror. Liz on the other hand — well, we’ll have to wait and see how she responds.
“But for now, she’s playing her cards close to the vest.”
Of course, now that Red’s close friend Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq) has returned to the show, he could be a key to that expansion of the mystery.
“He’s always the conscience, the voice, inside Red’s head that’s like, ‘Why are you keeping things from Elizabeth?’ I think he’s going to make peace with the fact that Red has every right to decide for himself what to talk about or what not to talk about, and the details of how he came to that we may unpack at a later date,” Bokenkamp said.
A later date sounds like season eight to us.
As for how long the show will continue to run, Bokenkamp told The Wrap: “We started season seven with the knowledge that we had a lot more story left to tell — too much story to cram into season seven.
“As you point out, we are deep into the mythology, and we’re closer to the end than the beginning, but at the moment we’re just having fun unpacking the story we’re telling.”

What Went Down Between Dom And Katarina?
In season 7, viewers watched Katarina telling Liz about Dom had whined to her regarding Red’s true identity and that Dom and Illaya had tried to kill Katarina to shield Liz.
The Blacklist of all NBC all would reunite to the 8. At this Blacklist’s season, our hopes are raised. So we probably have the year after seven strikes after that. Devotees wait for another with excitement. Their enjoyment knows no time when they learn about the eighth year.
