Good news for the lovers of the Good Omens Season 1 that it’s happening again but with no book as source material so you guys must be wondering what can be expected in Good Omens Season 2? Prepare yourself for the Good Omens Season 2 as it will be a sequel based on Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett always said that they will work on the Good Omens together or they will not work at all.
The second season was announced over two years ago when the first season of Good Omens premiered in 2019. Season 2 had been up in talks for quite some time as the show fully adapted the 1990 book Good Omens. It was confirmed that duo Michael Sheen and David Tennant would be back as everyone’s favorite angel demon combo.
Good Omens Season 2 storyline will be based on original source material that will illuminate the uncanny friendship between Aziraphale, a rare book dealer, and a fussy angel, and between the fast-living demon Crowley. Aziraphale and Crowley will be getting back to easy living amongst mortals in London’s Soho since the beginning and the apocalypse baffled.
But you know what that the sequel which was planned was never written!! As we all know that the first season used a number of narratives in the series and many things like Gabriel and many other angels including some demons were not in the book and they come from the conversations they had and said that they will use it in a second book.

Good Omens Season 2 Cast – Who Will Be There?
Well, we all know that Tennant and Sheen will be obviously on board as Aziraphale and demon Crowley respectively and will be the faces of the show and it remains suspense who all we’ll get to see along with them.
Their duo has always worked together on lockdown staged comedy and they came back in a humorous style. As Sheen Said, “If David and I can manage to not fall out too badly this time it may even have a chance of getting finished.”
To which Tennant added: “The return of good omens is great news for me, personally. As I get to work with Michael again and I get to say Neil’s wonderful words once more. It’s probably less good for the universe as it almost certainly means that there will be some fresh existential threat to its existence to deal with, but, you know- swings and roundabouts..”
Till now there is not any word that the returning cast members will be there but as a prequel focused on angels, the celestial characters are much more likely to reappear which will include Jon Hamm’s Archangel Gabriel and Frances McDormand as the voice of God.
Good Omens Season 2 Plot – What Will You See In It?
As Gaiman said in a statement (via TV Line) that “It’s 31 years since Good Omens was published, which means it’s 32 years since Terry Pratchett and I Lay in our respective beds in a Seattle hotel room at a World Fantasy Convention and Plotted the Sequel.
“I got to use bits of the sequel in Good Omens – that’s where our angels came from. Terry’s not here any longer but when he was we had talked about what we wanted to do with Good Omens, and where the story went next”
Gaiman continued: “There are so many questions people have asked about what happened next and also what happened before to our favorite Angel and Demon. Here are the answers you’re hoping for. We are back in Soho, and through time and space, solving a mystery, which starts with an angel wandering through Soho, with no memory.”
Tennant added to this: “It’s probably less good for the universe as it almost certainly means there will be some fresh existential threat to its existence to deal with, but you know- swings and roundabouts.”
Gaiman previously told RadioTimes.com that the sequel he was working on with Pratchett delved into “Where the angels actually came from” and given what he said in the above statement, that’s what we’re going to get.
