Ind vs Aus 3rd test | ‘1st look’: Stuart Broad mesmerised by World’s Largest stadium in Ahmedabad- England pacer Stuart Broad shared the first look of the Motera Stadium, Ahmedabad on Friday. The veteran of 500+ wickets in Test cricket was pleased to see the crowd capacity at the stadium. The Motera Stadium (now Sardar Patel stadium) in Ahmedabad is the World’s largest stadium with a crowd capacity of 1,10,000.

Earlier Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Australia was the biggest cricket stadium in the world. It has a crowd capacity of 1 lakh.

The stadium is yet to host an international match since its renovation. Former US President Donald Trump had given a speech in Namaste Trump campaign to bolster India-US relation at the stadium.

Stuart Broad is just two wickets away to break the record of Courtney Walsh (519 wickets) in Test cricket. The upcoming Test match awaits a lot of personal glories as his teammate James Anderson is only eight wickets behind Anil Kumble to become the third-highest wicket-taker in Tests. India’s Ravichandran Ashwin also needs six wickets to become the fourth Indian batsman to take 400 wickets in Test cricket.

The third Test and fourth Test will be played at the Sardar Patel Stadium. The next test will begin on February 24. India and England are currently 1-1 level in the four-match Test series. A series can help the hosts qualify into the ICC Test Championship Final opposite New Zealand.
