User review-Josephine the girl who plays the lead role is the main reason to watch this average romantic drama which without Josephine would be boring as hell if you exclude last half an hour or so but Josephine and her chemistry with the guy who played the other main role makes this movie worthy of your time. thank god we finally got something worthy of a scenario twist in the last 20 minutes and the movie ended strong but in the end, Josephine is the reason to watch this film.

Reviews-This is a smart movie and the concept is pretty original, considering the difficulty of deviating from the restrictions of the genre. The leads are immensely likable and each able to toss off complex comedic riffs with ease. And I very much enjoyed seeing Adam Scott play the heavy. Not easy to portray a dull-as-donuts bad guy, but he pulled it off.

User Review-I was fortunate enough to see this movie at a screening last night in Los Angeles. It was amazing, everything about it amazing! Kechiche is something special. He works on something until he gets it right, and the only time he gets it right is when he feels comfortable with what he has shot. At the Q&A afterward with Kechiche, Seydoux, and Exarchopoulos, I learned that they shot some of the takes 100 times!

User Review-Making a movie that seems authentic is hard in this day and age considering what films make money and what films don’t. Most of the time audiences don’t feel like watching a film deal with real issues when they can just watch a summer blockbuster, but Obvious Child is an incredibly effective real film.

User Review-The only other review so far (by Bastille above) is on the money. He does a good job of describing the acting, script, etc. I would like to add another point, however: it also cleverly examines the issues of love, marriage, lust, and sex and how they are intertwined…or not.

7. Our Souls at Night

Story-It’s not the most romantic setup in the world — an older man and woman have each lost their respective spouses, and agree to start sleeping together platonically to get over their loneliness — but the result is sweet if traditional, a love story. Robert Redford and Jane Fonda buttress a script based on a Kent Haruf novel that’s much less YA than you’d expect given the somewhat cloying adaptation. Still, if it’s a love story you want, check it out!

Reviews-It’s a beautiful film, with 2 great actors acting their AGE. No doddering, just honest raw emotion. The initial premise seemed odd, but after getting caught up in the storyline-I loved it! It’s just a simply beautiful story. Like real life, no “Hollywood” ending. Just real life.

User Review-I finally got around to seeing the soon to be Oscar-nominated movie, Up In the Air today. A lot of critics are putting it on their lists for the top movie of the year and I will have to agree with them. This is a very good movie. It’s funny and witty and has some good dramatic moments at the end that really hit you in the stomach. It’s one of those rare movies that is fun to watch and makes you think at the end.

Review-This movie delivers everything you expect from a romantic comedy! Dozens of fun scenes and good chemistry between Buttler and Heigel. Lots of jokes: adult and universal. Buttler’s character is absolutely positive and charming. I guess we all want to be that kind of a man: straight, confident, sincere. And Heigel’s character is so real with all those issues about the relationships and frankly vulnerability. Of course, life is much more complicated but leaving the theater you feel happy and mighty in the questions of fascination. Thanks to the writers, the story doesn’t fall in dynamics and doesn’t bore you until the credits.
