Moorhead woman arrested after hitting pedestrian | INFORUM

MOORHEAD — A 30-year-old Moorhead woman is facing charges after she is accused of hitting a pedestrian in the 1700 block of 41st Avenue South in Moorhead about 5:50 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 18.

Abby Rose McKenna was taken into custody and is being held at the Clay County Jail pending formal charges.

She is being held on suspicion of felony criminal vehicle operation, third degree driving while under the influence and second degree refusal to take alcohol test, said Moorhead police.

The pedestrian was transported to Sanford Medical Center with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The driver and victim were not known to each other, and police said they were continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.

McKenna fled the scene, but police said she was found a short distance away. Multiple calls were made immediately to 911 following the incident.
