Towie star Mark Wright added to FIFA 21 – but overall rating makes grim reading

Television personality Mark Wright has been added FIFA 21 as a virtual player, but his rating and stats make for grim reading.

Wright has been added to FIFA 21 after signing for League Two side Crawley Town on a non-contract basis in December, with the 34-year-old making his professional debut against Leeds United in the FA Cup Third Round in January.

The former ‘The Only Way is Essex’ star made his first start for the Reds against Harrogate Town on February 6, but was substituted at half-time, a game in which Crawley went on to lose 3-1.

His brother Josh is also a professional footballer at Crawley. The 31-year-old has had a long career in the game, having signed for Charlton Athletic in 2007 and played for clubs like Brentford, Millwall and others in a 14-year footballing career.

But in the latest FIFA 21 data update, which is live now on all platforms including PC, Xbox and PlayStation, Mark Wright has been added to the game and added into the Crawley Town squad, but his overall rating is shocking.

He’s also got a generic in-game face, rather than a full realistic face scan, which you would expect considering the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, which doesn’t allow for EA Sports to conduct in-person face scans.

Wright, who is a left-back on the game, has been given a very low overall rating of 47 out of 100 on FIFA 21. To put this into context, Wright is the lowest-rated player at Crawley Town by quite a distance, with the next highest rated player being Archie Davies who has a rating of 53 out of 100.

But Wright isn’t just the lowest-rated at Crawley, but also the entire game, because no player has a lower overall rating than Wright on FIFA 21.

The 34-year-old is the joint-lowest rated player on the game, level with players like Scott Smith of Wigan Athletic, Xia Ao of Wuhan Zall and Darren Collins of Sligo Rovers.

When you take a deeper dive into Wright’s profile, it gets worse. Wright has been given a weak-foot rating of one-star, the lowest possible, with the left-back also given low attacking and defending work rates, and a stocky body type.

Wright’s best individual attribute is strength, which is rated at 54, with his lowest individual outfield rating being volleys, which is rated at 20.

But, Wright does have two-star skill moves, which isn’t bad considering his profile overall!

What do you make of Mark Wright’s FIFA 21 profile?

FIFA 21 is out now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC, with FIFA 21 next-gen also available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.

Players who have purchased one of the new next-generation consoles including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, and who have already previously purchased FIFA 21 on their older consoles, can now upgrade to FIFA 21 next-gen for free through Dual Entitlement.

Players can also carry over their progress and content in Ultimate Team and Volta Football in FIFA 21.
