US Marshals arrest man wanted in connection to Frenchtown Twp. shooting

The victim was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound Feb. 1, according to Monroe police. The 31-year-old suspect was arrested in Dayton on Feb. 23.

MONROE, Mich. — An arrest has been made following a shooting that injured one person on Feb. 1.

The incident happened at the intersection of Telegraph Road and Stewart Road in Monroe. A victim was transported to the hospital with at least one gunshot wound, according to Monroe police. 

Police did not provide any further information to our crew on the scene at the time. The victim was not identified.

On Feb. 23, the Monroe County Sheriff sent a press release announcing the arrest of a suspect wanted in connection to the shooting. 

The US Marshal Service arrested a 31-year-old Monroe man who was located in Dayton at the time of his arrest. The suspect is currently being held in the Montgomery County Jail pending extradition back to Michigan. He has not been identified, pending formal arraignment.
