OnePlus has now officially confirmed that they will be launching a new One plus watch in “early 2021”. The release of the watch was confirmed by the CEO of OnePlus, Pete Lau.
According to the sources, we may see the launch of the OnePlus watch during the launch event of the upcoming OnePlus 9 series of smartphones. It may release by mid-march.

During the Launch of the flagship smartphone One Plus 8T, the OnePlus has posted a tweet in which they had revealed that “a lot more is coming to the OnePlus Ecosystem” which means that they are working on some more gadgets.
This year, OnePlus SmarWatch received the BIS certification in September. The company has to launch the watch this year but it was delayed. OnePlus didn’t tell the reason for the delay, but now it is officially confirmed that the Smartwatch will be releasing in early 2021. However, the launch date has not been mentioned.

There are some leaks that show the specification, price, and design of the OnePlus smartwatch, and here is what we know about it.
If we talk about the specifications of the smartwatch, it will run Wear OS. As we know that the OnePlus always provide a smooth experience User Interface for their smartphones, though the devices are android based. This time, the Operating System is made by Google and the company claims that OnePlus is working with Google and is trying to improve the connectivity between their android mobiles as well as in the Smartwatch for better device interoperability across the ecosystems.
Processor
OnePlus watch will be powered by a Snapdragon Wear system-on-chip (which might be Snapdragon Wear 4,100 processor) that will be specially designed only for OnePlus smartwatches and you can use it very well. The processor is very well designed and it will work efficiently as it will help in reducing the power usage, resulting in better battery backup and better multitasking.
Display
The display size of 1.57 inches with a 3D curved design will be seen in the smartwatch and it will be a super AMOLED display. The display will have better viewing angles. The leaked images of the strip of the watch have been leaked which again proves that the watch is going to be released soon.
Sensors
Apart from the processor and display of the OnePlus smartwatch, it will be having various sensors such as spo2, 24×7 Heart rate monitor, etc. The watch will be water and dust resistant. Sixty plus sports features are added to the watch that will help you to perform different sports activities such as running, swimming, and trekking
Battery
A battery capacity of 450-480mAh will be available in the OnePlus smartwatch which will give you up to 12 days of battery backup if you are a heavy user. As mentioned earlier, the processor will also help to give better battery backup and performance. In normal usage, the watch may give 48 days of battery backup.

Back in 2016, the OnePlus was going to manufacture smartwatches but then it canceled its decision to bring it in the market for some reasons. In 2020, OnePlus was about to launch its smartwatch but the company delayed it again. Now, due to the post that was tweeted by the CEO of OnePlus, it is confirmed that the company will definitely launch its first smartwatch.
Coming to the price and the exact launch date of the OnePlus smartwatch, it has not been confirmed by the company. However, there are still rumors that the watch may release in mid-March of 2021.
