Every now and then new brands are entering Metaverse. One popular brand among them is McDonald’s. Famous for its burger and french fries, McDonald’s has entered into Metaverse in its unique fashion. In this post, we will cover everything about McDonald Burger NFT.
The first McDonald’s restaurant was opened in 1940 by brothers Maurice (“Mac”) and Richard McDonald in San Bernardino, California. It originally was a drive-in that offered a wide selection of items. However, in 1948 the brothers decided to revamp the business, and after a three-month renovation, a newly envisioned McDonald’s opened. The small restaurant was designed to produce huge quantities of food at low prices. Now McDonald’s will deliver food in Metaverse. Sounds confusing?
We will be discussing McDonald Burger NFT. How to buy them and where to buy them. We will also cover the cost of this NFT burger. Finally, we will discuss more about McDonald’s Metaverse. So, without wasting time, let’s start
McDonald Burger NFT
McDonald’s is entering the NFT world again, this time with a triple cheeseburger named NFT competition. Working closely with Italian digital artists, McDonald’s Italy has created this NFT to celebrate the Triple Cheeseburger launch across the country.
The iconic fast-food chain has picked three unique young artists to highlight the promotion.
1. Daniele Tozzi, who specialized in calligram.
2. Serena Gianoli, an illustrator.
3. Nicola Laurora, a designer.
The rapper Ghali helped McDonald’s to find talented artists.
“We wanted to celebrate our iconic sandwich with something that would last over time, that could be preserved, like a memory but digital”, Raffaele Daloisio, marketing director of McDonald’s Italy, explained.

Where To Buy McDonald Burger NFT?
Customers can win one of these NFTs by purchasing a Triple Cheeseburger on the restaurant’s app from March 12th to April 5th. To check if you’ve won, enter the receipt code on the website to instantly find out.
The winners must own a digital wallet to collect their McDonald Burger NFT. Once you have won, then you can choose to hold it or sell it. The NFTS will be accessible on OpenSea in the coming days. So, although the competition isn’t available to those outside Italy, you will find them on the secondary market.
Meanwhile, each artist has come up with a McDonald’s NFT design to celebrate the triple cheeseburger launch. Reportedly, each has 100 NFT copies. This means that, in total, there are 300 NFTs for customers to win.

How To Get A McDonald’s Burger NFT?
For all three it was a sort of first time with NFT: after the creation, the works (which are obviously digital) will remain exposed on OpenSea, one of the best-known marketplaces in the sector, will be reproduced in 100 copies each and can be won by customers. From 12 March to 5 April – Daloiso explained to us –
- It will be sufficient to register on our app,
- Buy a Triple Cheeseburger and,
- Enter the code on the receipt in the dedicated section to check if you have been lucky.
If so, the holder of the winning receipt will have the Nft transferred to his wallet (for Nft you need a cryptocurrency wallet we explained last June) and from that moment the work will be his, he can do whatever he wants with it, even give it to others or sell it.
How Much Does McDonald’s Burger NFT Cost?
The regular price of a McDonald’s cheeseburger is $2 to $4. It is expected that this McDonald’s burger will cost the same amount. Although it is an offer from McDonald’s it can cost less than a regular burger too. It might also happen that it might cost a little more than the regular price as it is accompanied by an NFT.
We look at the NFT world with the aim of diversifying and innovating the experiential offer dedicated to our younger customers, always one step ahead in identifying new trends. We are proud to have been the first in the industry to have grasped the potential of NFTs, investing in the talent of young artists and making it accessible to all,“ Moeara quoted McDonald’s Italia’s chief marketing officer, Raffaele Daloiso, as saying in a statement.

What Is McDonald’s Metaverse?
McDonald’s files trademarks for virtual restaurants in the Metaverse. The company filed 10 applications with the US Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) earlier this month for the McDonald’s brand and McCafe.
“You are hanging out in the metaverse and getting hungry. You don’t have to put down your headset. You walk into a McDonald’s and place an order. It arrives at your door a little while later, “I think you’re going to see every brand that you can think of making these filings within the next 12 months. I don’t think anyone wants to be the next Blockbuster and just completely ignore a new technology that’s coming.” trademark lawyer Josh Gerben, tweeted together with descriptions of the trademarks.
It will now take around eight months before The US Patent and Trademark Office likely approve the request.
